Informational Blog Blog #4

                 INFORMATIONAL BLOG

For our capstone project we decided to show our appreciation for nurses. Since we are working with nurses we based our informational blogs on them. In this blog we will talk about different topics about nurses, such as their responsibilities, what degrees you can get to become a nurse and their salaries.

To become a nurse you must have an Associates degree in nursing (ADN), Bachelor's degree in science of nursing (BSN), or  a Master’s degree (MSN). Since there are certain degrees in the nursing field there will be different information on that study and the length of studies you have. In an Associate’s degree program, it takes about two years to complete. However, a bachelor's degree programs takes 4 years which is twice longer than an associate's degree.

A nurse has many responsibilities when working. A registered nurse (RN) is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and has met requirements to have a nursing license. One of their jobs is to take exams of people and to check the person’s health history. Nurses are also the people who make the patients feel comfortable when sick and give them full care when needed. They also aid the doctors in critical decisions for required actions. A nurse can give helpful advice about self care and dress wounds.

In the nursing field, there are many different types of nurses.  The highest paying nurse is the Registered nurse which earns about 68,164 dollars annually. This type of nurse assist in treating patients with injuries and medical conditions. Another type of nurse is the travel registered nurse who gets a salary of 64, 052 dollars annually. A travel registered nurse works temporary jobs nationally and internationally. However, there are nurses who work at a person’s home and their salary is 68,808 dollars a year. Their job is to take care of people who have medical conditions but choose to stay at home.

Moving on to salary, a registered nurse could earn about 67,490 dollars per year. In a hour, they earn about 33 dollars. In conclusion, nurses are important to our community because they do their best in curing patients and assist doctors.
